Call for Papers
The American Society of Hispanic Economists (ASHE) will be hosting two Presidential sessions at the 93rd Annual Meeting of the Southern Economic Association (SEA) to take place in New Orleans, November 18-20, 2023. More information on the conference, can be found here.
The first session is sponsored by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and must consist of papers around the topic of “Hispanics’ Business and Entrepreneurship.” For this session, the Kauffman Foundation has graciously provided funding for two awards of $250 USD for the best presentations in the session. Participants in this session will also have the opportunity to publish summaries of their research in a special issue of the Hispanic Economic Outlook.
The second session’s topic is open. ASHE has traditionally hosted papers on race, gender, ethnicity, health, COVID, and migration, but other topics are welcome.
If you are interested in participating in any of the two sessions above, please submit an abstract here that includes the title of your paper and the name and affiliation of your co-authors. Please also indicate clearly to which of the two sessions you want your paper to be under consideration.
Everyone is welcome to submit abstracts for consideration regardless of current ASHE membership, but all participants selected to participate must ensure that that they have a current ASHE membership at the time of the conference (either individual or through their institution).
The submission deadline is April 1st, 2023.
