Call for papers: HEO issue on Hispanics’ Business and Entrepreneurship

Dear Colleagues,

The American Society of Hispanic Economists and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation invite you to submit research briefs or original papers for a special issue of the Hispanic Economic Outlook focusing on Hispanics’ Business and Entrepreneurship. Articles related to the experiences of Hispanic and Latino workers in the self-employment sector are of interest, particularly as they relate to assimilation, economic mobility, job creation, and the labor market performance of immigrants in ethnic enclaves, Hispanic-owned businesses, and elderly workers.

For this issue of the HEO, the Kauffman Foundation has graciously provided funding for up to four awards of USD 250 for the articles selected for publication. Completed manuscripts should be submitted via email to [email protected] no later than Friday, December 15, 2023.

Submission requirements

·        One of the authors needs to be a member of ASHE.

·        Submissions should be at most 15 single-spaced pages in Times New Roman font 12.

Should you have any questions, please contact Dr. Alejandro Gutierrez-Li, guest editor of this special issue.

Sincerely,

ASHE Board
