Position:
The Department of Economics at California State University, Northridge (CSUN) is seeking a tenure-track faculty member in Economics at the rank of Assistant Professor.
The successful candidate will teach Macroeconomics and have research interests in Macroeconomics.
In addition to teaching, the position requires weekly office hours, attending faculty meetings, participation in the assessment of student learning, and service to the department, college, and university. The successful candidate will be held to the standards and requirements of the Nazarian College of Business and Economics and the Department of Economics. To earn promotion and tenure, faculty are required to engage in research that results in refereed publications and to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to effective teaching and service to the university. Faculty engaged in research and publication are normally provided reassigned time to support their professional activities. At the time of appointment, candidates must meet current AACSB International standards for classification as Scholarly Academic (SA) and must continue to maintain this classification throughout their tenure.
