The Economics Department invites applications for a tenure-track position, at the new or advanced Assistant Professor level, starting Fall 2024, in Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics. Successful candidates will display promise for publishing in peer reviewed journals, effective teaching, and dedication to inclusive excellence in higher education. The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is a mid-sized research R1 university located between Washington and Baltimore.
Our department has been awarded a Sloan Foundation grant for under-represented minority undergraduates to pursue post-baccalaureate research opportunities in economics.
